Accessibility
The following settings are available on the Warrington Borough Council website, these settings will only be available for the duration of the visit to our site.
Change the default font size
The website has a standard body text size of around 12pt but uses CSS throughout to enable the use of larger font sizes. The various size letter A’s in the top navigation bar change the text size on the site.
A - Small font size
A - Medium font size
A - Large font size
Colour accessibility
To ensure the design of the Warrington website does not become a barrier to users with colour deficiencies the design has been passed through an online validation tool called Vischeck. (http://www.vischeck.com/ ) The tool supplies images of how the homepage page would appear to users suffering with severe red/green and red/yellow colour blindness. The contrasts between the colours used are significant enough to ensure any user suffering with these forms of visual impairments are still able to access the site and it’s information.
High Contrast version
The High Contrast version of the site provides Yellow text on a Black background, titles are presented in Turquoise and hyperlinks in Blue (unless they are titles when they are again in Turquoise.)
