Pupil / student travel information

When to apply / how to apply - Pupils:
As soon as possible if you know your plans for the next academic year. All forms should reach us by 31 July. Late applications may result in late issue of passes. Providing you submit your application in good time, and you are eligible to receive assistance, a pass will be forwarded to your home address before the start of the new academic year. Application forms are available on request from the admission, transport and pupil services team, children and young people's services, New Town House, Warrington. They are also available at schools and colleges in the borough and from Contact Warrington. A passport size photograph is required for all new applications. Call 01925 443117.

Special educational needs transport
Transport may be provided to and from special schools and units. Usually the transport will be considered whilst your child's special educational needs are being assessed. If transport is deemed necessary then it will be in a statement of special educational needs that may be produced as the outcome of the assessment.  Transport may be provided for pupils with severe physical or sensory disabilities who attend non-special schools or units attached to non-special schools. Please contact the inclusion service, children and young people's services for further information: 01925 442910.

Lost passes
If you lose your pass you will need to contact the passenger transport unit (01925 442622) for a replacement. A charge of £8 will be made to cover administrative costs. Cheques should be made payable to "Warrington Borough Council". Once a pass has been replaced, the original becomes invalid and cannot be used for travel.
