Introduction
Warrington Register Office are responsible for registering all Births, Deaths and Marriages which occur within the Borough of Warrington.
We also take Notice of Marriage for people living within the Borough and are responsible for conducting and registering all civil (non-religious) ceremonies at Warrington Register Office and Approved Premises i.e. hotels and register marriages for some churches within the Borough.
We issue copy birth, death and marriage certificates from our records, which took place within Warrington from 1837.
The service also provides advice on re-registering births.
There is no charge for registering a birth or death, but if you want a number of copy certificates, a fee is payable according to a scale laid down by Central Government. A fee is payable for giving notice of marriage and for marrying in either a Register Office, Approved Premise, or some Churches.
