How to pay

Important information

Paying your Council Tax, Business Rates or other invoices

From the 31 May 2007, we will no longer be able to accept payments over the counter at our Cash Office - Revenues & Benefits Service, 21 Rylands Street, Warrington. If you currently make payments by cash or cheque, you will need to make alternative arrangements. The council has taken this decision due to the high cost of collecting cash and because over 84% of our customers now pay electronically, for example by Direct Debit, Allpay or Debit / Credit cards, which are more efficient and cost-effective methods of payment.

Payments for Council Tax, Business Rates or other invoices can be made by the following methods:

  • Direct Debit
  • Allpay (Visit their website and type in your postcode to establish you nearest paypoint)
  • Debit / Credit cards

You can now make payments at Woolworths - by Allpay card or a barcoded invoice.

To make arrangements to pay by Direct Debit - our preferred method of payment – or Allpay - which allows you to make payments in over 60 locations across Warrington - please contact the Revenues & Benefits Service - Tel. (01925) 443210
or email us at Revenues&Benefits@warrington.gov.uk

To pay by Debit / Credit card over the telephone or Internet - Tel. (01925) 443300
or on line at - www.warrington.gov.uk/payments/

We will continue to take cheque payments by post only – to be sent to:
