WBC Regeneration Team
Need help with funding? Warrington voluntary & community groups are invited to our December 'Funding Fayre'. Find out the latest Lottery developments and meet like minded people in this free festive day out. Download the programme and booking form (1MB) for full details.
The Regeneration team are here to help individuals improve their employability skills and to ultimately find jobs. If you live in one of the six inner wards or receive certain benefits we could help you. To find out if you qualify please contact us.
If you are a community or voluntary group we can provide help and advice on how to access funding and identify match funding. We can also help you with writing a successful bid.
We work in partnership with local voluntary and community bodies and statutory organisations to give you the best all-round advice and assistance.
The team are involved in a number of different projects and programmes including:
• Maximising opportunities in warrington
We know about training and employment opportunities coming to town and work to ensure inner ward residents are able to take advantage of them
• Coalfield communities regeneration programme
This programme aims to tackle economic, social and environmental issues affecting areas due to the decline in the coal mining industry.
• Public service agreements aimed at helping people with disabilities and lone parents on benefits get into work.
• Warrington employability fund
Grants for people wanting to improve their chances of getting a job. The fund will help with training or buying equipment and protective clothing, for example.
• Small grants service
Helping community and voluntary groups to develop their project ideas and look for funding.
