Warrington Libraries
Warrington Libraries provide information services to the public through the Central Library on Museum Street, 13 branch libraries around the borough, a mobile library visiting outlying areas, elderly peoples’ homes and nursing homes, and a volunteer delivery service for housebound readers.
In addition to adult and junior fiction, most libraries have a large stock of non-fiction and reference books including business directories, computer, careers, health and travel books. As well as books, libraries have national and local newspapers, journals and magazines of all types, videos, music CDs and DVDs, talking books and language courses and lots of Community Information.
In July 2001 computers were installed throughout the library network enabling library users to learn new skills and have free access to the internet through the newly created Peoples’ Network.
