Validate UK Proof of Age Card
Warrington Borough Council has introduced the Validate UK proof of age scheme in partnership with Cheshire Police and the local Health Promotion Unit.
Validate UK cards are available to all young people aged 16 years and over and will be accepted as proof that the young person is legally entitled to purchase certain age restricted products. Validate UK is a national scheme and brand which has been adapted for use locally in Warrington.
A Validate UK card is free.
Validate UK is not an ID card and will not be requested other than on the occasion the holder attempts to purchase age restricted products.
We hope that the Validate UK scheme will help young people to develop responsible attitudes to their lifestyle and will also enable them to take control of actions which affect their health.
