E-procurement and the IDeA:Marketplace
The council is committed to interacting efficiently with businesses and recognises the opportunities that e-procurement can offer.
Using the internet allows us to make quicker purchasing decisions, automate the ordering process and provide prompt payments.
Evidence has shown that the benefits of e-trading are equally distributed between the purchaser and the supplier. The council's aim is to trade electronically with the vast majority of our suppliers, either through the IDeA e-marketplace or using procurement cards.
