Blue Bin - Paper Recycling
The blue bin paper recycling service collects newspapers, magazines, brochures, catalogues, junk mail and other white paper.
All the paper that is collected in Warrington is taken to Shotton paper mill where it is recycled into new newsprint for local and national papers.

Calendars will be stuck to your blue bin on collection days. To receive a calendar it is essential that you present your blue bin on your next collection day regardless of the quantity of paper inside.

Yellow Page directories, Christmas cards, cardboard, envelopes, wallpaper all other waste materials.
When will my Blue Bin be emptied?
Your Blue Bin will be emptied every five weeks. Please refer to your calendar for your collection dates or contact us on 01925 443322 to request a replacement calendar.
Where should I place my Blue Bin for collection?
Place you Blue Bin at the edge of your property in the same place as your grey wheeled bin before 6.30am on your Blue Bin collection day.
What do I do if I currently have an assisted collection for refuse?
If you are currently receiving help with your refuse bin then you will also receive help with your new Blue Bin.
What do I do if I can’t fit all my paper in my Blue Bin?
Please store any excess paper in a clean dry place and put in your Blue Bin on your next collection date. Alternatively, please use your local recycling site (details of your nearest site can be found on the recycling page) or request a leaflet.
What if I already use my local recycling site to recycle my paper?
Please continue to do so if this is your preferred method of recycling.
What if I put materials in my Blue Bin that aren’t acceptable?
It is essential that the paper we collect is free from contaminants so unfortunately your Blue Bin will not be emptied.
What can I do then?
Remove the contaminated material from your Blue Bin then contact 01925 443322 to arrange a collection.
What should I do if my Blue Bin is not emptied on the collection day?
Please contact 01925 443322 and leave your details (name, phone no. and address) and we will arrange to empty your Blue Bin.
Why have I not been offered the Blue Bin service?
