CREATE in Warrington

Bulky Bob's, who are a waste management and recycling social business, collect electrical appliances on behalf of CREATE.  Bulky Bob's is a real life example of 'joined up service delivery' showing how a local authority can achieve best value, improve services, tackle poverty and support the growth and sustainability of social enterprise. 

Collected goods are safely recycled and the appliances are then sold on to the public at the lowest possible prices. Every item is safety tested and guaranteed for six months and delivery is free within the Borough of Warrington.

The project helps to reduce long-term unemployment by finding jobs for the ‘New Deal’ trainees and by offering placement opportunities to people with learning or physical disabilities. CREATE greatly values the support of volunteer workers with specific skills.

To maintain the success of the project, CREATE needs your help.

In the UK around 6 million electrical appliances are discarded every year – thousands from Warrington alone. These products form the fastest growing type of waste and we need to reuse and recycle more of these items so that we can make a real difference to our environment and people’s lives.

How can you help?

The demand for our service means we constantly need more appliances to work on.

CREATE need electrical appliances that work or can be made to work - and will collect larger appliances.

CREATE cannot restore appliances that have rusted away, been fire damaged or have sat in the garden for many months.
