Waste management

Welcome to Warrington Borough Council's waste and recycling web pages

We're here to help you recycle and reduce the amount of waste you create.

Why should I recycle?
On average a UK household produces over one tonne of rubbish a year.

You can help to reduce the amount of waste you produce and recycle more, so that less waste goes to landfill.

Warrington residents are currently recycling and composting around 38% of their household waste, but the remaining is still going to landfill. We still need to work together to continue to increase recycling and reduce the amount of waste we produce. Help us reach our target to recycle and compost 55% of our waste by 2020 and reduce waste produced by each household.

We have now introduced our three bin refuse and recycling scheme
