BT consultation - removal of public payphones
The council is carrying out the public consultation concerning BT’s plans to remove 11 public payphones in the borough.
The first round of consultation has now ended and the council has published its ‘first notification,’ which outlines the provisional decision to recommend that objections be made to nine of the 11 proposed removals.
You can view the first notification and phone box schedule here, which shows those payphones proposed for closure, if the council objects or consents to its removal and the reasons for any objection.

Responses must be received by the research manager by 12 noon on Monday 8 September.
Responses will be considered by the council before a final notice will be declared to BT and the Secretary of State on Tuesday 9 September 2008.
