Local Democracy Week

The past year or so has been packed with local democracy events aimed at getting more people involved and 'in the know' about how local democracy works.

Some of Warrington's younger generation, including schools, sixth form students and Warrington's own Youth Parliament, have taken part in a series of workshops and interactive sessions from speed debating to grilling councillors.

Question Time event, held at Priestley College in November gave young people an opportunity to ask questions to key members and officers of Warrington Borough Council and was chaired by the Mayor (Cllr Celia Jordan MBE B.Ed).
