Lost your exam certificates?

 

To apply for replacement certificates or a statement of results, you need to contact the individual awarding body. Most charge a fee for this service.

  1. OCR (Oxford and Cambridge and RSA Exam board). 

    You can fill in the form on the OCR website to get copies of your certificates.
    You will need to provide proof of identity; no-one can apply on your behalf.  
    You must pay a search fee of £32 for exams taken in one session, and £16 per session for further exam sessions.
     
  2. Edexcel  (University of London and BTEC examinations).

    You can fill in the form on the Edexcel website to get copies of your certificates.  There is a different form for BTEC and for GCSE/A level certificates. 
    If you prefer, you can simply apply for a letter of confirmation.
    You must pay a search fee of £26 for BTEC and for all GCSE/A levels taken in a single session.
     
  3. AQA (Replacing the old AEB and NEAB awarding bodies)

    AQA do not have an online form to apply for lost certificates but intend to do so in the near future. You can contact them by writing or email to request an application form.  AQA website.
     
  4. WJEC  (Welsh Joint Education Committee)

    You can apply for a Certifying Statement of results that will be sent to you.
    You will need to pay £20 for one session and up to a maximum of £30 for 2 or more sessions. 
    Alternatively, a Letter of Confirmation can be sent to a third party at a cost of £10.

    Visit the WjEC website or email: certificates@wjec.co.uk to get the application form (English and Welsh versions available).
     
  5. CCEA (Northern Ireland Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment)

    You can visit the CCEA website to get an application form. 
    You will need to pay £3.75 per subject per session for a statement of results. 
    You can only receive a replacement certificate if you have part or all of the original damaged certificate.  This costs £10.
