Christmas waste and recycling

 Christmas3

Blue bin & recycling facilities

Remember to use your blue bin to recycle all your extra glass, cans, plastic bottles, card and paper.

Please note we can not accept wrapping paper due to its poor quality.

Christmas cards can go in the blue bin or they can be recycled at special collection points at WHSmith, TK Maxx or M&S to support the Woodland Trust.

Check your bin sticker for collection dates. We do not take side waste with the blue bin. Remember if your blue bin gets full you can use the recycling bring sites.

The community recycling centres are also open everyday except Christmas day, boxing day and new year's day for your extra Christmas waste.

Try not to over cater food amounts this Christmas by visiting the Love Food, Hate Waste web site for the Christmas dinner portion planner - it removes the guess work by suggesting how much to cook per person.

The Love Food, Hate Waste web site also has loads of great recipies to help you use up any extra food you may cook over the Christmas period.
