Non recyclable household waste - Black bin
Warrington Borough Council provides a black bin for non-recyclable household waste. This bin is collected once every week. One 240L bin is provided as standard to each property.
Please note: Your black bin must be presented with a flat lid. No excess bags will be collected.
Please think carefully about what you are throwing away, can it be reused or recycled?

If your wheelie bin was in position by 6.30am on the day of collection and there was no problem with obstruction or access and your bin lid was fully closed, we will arrange for your bin to be emptied. Please contact us.
Am I entitled to have a pull out & return service?
If you are elderly or have a disability we may be able to offer you this service. Please contact us.
How can I request a wheelie bin as I have just moved into the area/property?
Please either use our online wheelie bin request form or contact us. There is no charge for a new bin.
How do I dispose of any other waste?
If you have other waste to be disposed of such as asbestos, fluorescent tubes, clinical waste etc. please contact us for further information on how this can be disposed of.
The community recycling centres have facilities to recycle a wide range of materials. There are also facilities at the sites to dispose of excess household waste. Visit the community recycling centres page for a full list of facilities.

Will my wheelie bin be collected as normal on bank holidays?
We now operate a four-day week, with no collections on Mondays. This is designed to reduce the impact of bank holidays.
Details of Christmas collections will be publicised nearer the time.
