Neighbourhood co-ordination
The key to Neighbourhood co-ordination is that the Street Scene Services Division of Environmental Management has an important part to play however, residents concerns should be more important in defining what is done than our assumptions. Neighbourhood co-ordination will only be successful if all relevant stakeholders are effectively engaged.
Neighbourhood co-ordination contributes to the council's ambitions in that it is based on a shared understanding between ourselves and our partner organisations of local needs. It uses effective community engagement mechanisms to understand the veiws, needs and desires of our residents, as well as our partners and allows for greater choice in planning for these.
The plan
Street Scene Services plan will result in:
- Co-ordination of all cleansing and grounds maintenance activities in each area.
- Continuous improvement to service delivery through regular meetings and assessment
- Dialogue between Street Scene Services operatives and local residents
- "Hot Spots" identified and dealt with, in partnership with the local area/ward representatives.
