Information for businesses
It's becoming increasingly important for a business to be able to demonstrate its green credentials if it is to protect and grow its business. It also makes sound business sense as significant savings can be made.
There are a number of organisations who can help you as a business assess your energy efficiency and advise you on the measures to take which could potentially save you thousands of pounds. This will range from how you use your resources and raw materials to where energy is being wasted. Details of these organisations can be found below.
On 3 March 2009 the council held an event designed to engage businesses to reduce their carbon emissions "How to protect and grow your business whilst reducing your emissions." The morning attracted over 15 different organisations from the Warrington area. A number of speakers presented to us covering a wide range of topics from what the attendees could do to reduce their emissions to how you can become officially accredited for their work. The speakers' presentations can be found below.
We are looking at working more closely with these organisations in order to offer you a more tailored support package to guide you through to making significant reductions in energy and use of raw materials.
