Event Safety - A Guide for Organisers

The Event Safety Guide has been produced in consultation with representatives of Warrington Borough Council, Mersey Regional Ambulance and Cheshire Police Services.

This provides guidance for event organisers to assist with the planning stage so as to ensure the event is held safely.

It must be emphasised that the organisers of events are responsible for the safety of those attending; this guidance has been produced to assist in the planning process for events both on and off the highway.

An event on the highway poses particular risks and requires a high degree of planning and safety controls.

What do I do if I want to hold an event?

We are here to help make your event as safe as possible - to do this we need to assess any risk your event may present to your visitors.

We have therefore produced and Event Safety Guide.  It includes details on registering your event and a useful Event Safety Checklist.  There are a number of important issues to consider including First Aid, Fire Safety and visitors with disability needs.

This guide covers all of these and a lot more and it is available for you to download PDF Logo but if you are unsure about any of the procedures and guidelines remember we are more than happy to help so please do not hesitate to contact us:
