Local Natural History Groups
Cheshire Wildlife Trust – Halton and Warrington Group
Is one of nine local groups open to members of the Cheshire Wildlife Trust. The group organises various events such as guided walks to sites of wildlife interest locally and occasional indoor slide shows etc. There is also the opportunity to carry out management work at trust reserves in the region. Members of the group also represent the trust at various countryside fairs and serve on the committees of the Warrington Nature Conservation Forum and Halton Environmental Forum.

North Cheshire RSPB Members Group
Is one of several groups within the region that organises events and promotes the activities of the RSPB as well as raising funds and recruiting new members. The group runs its own programme of events including weekend, midweek and evening field visits to a variety of birdwatching sites as well as two longer weekend trips. There are also indoor presentations and social events such as an annual quiz and hotpot supper.

Woolston Eyes Conservation Group
Looks after the interests of Woolston Eyes Nature Reserve east of Warrington. The group undertakes voluntary wardening of the site, site management and occasional survey work, an annual report is produced.

Moore Biological Recording Group
An informal grouping of local naturalists which monitor the natural history of Moore Nature Reserve and the surrounding area. The group undertakes site surveys as required and maintains the feeding station on the reserve.
