  • To assess Warrington’s natural wealth through supporting surveys and recording
  • To support the protection of biodiversity and sustainable development
  • To encourage improved site management of existing sites and encourage the creation of new natural landscapes and habitats
  • To raise public awareness of issues that affect the natural environment

Can I join the forum?

Everyone is welcome to attend the general meetings the forum holds four times a year. It is an excellent opportunity to meet other people interested in local wildlife and find out about a wide range of topics and issues affecting the natural environment. The work of the forum is co-ordinated by a committee. For more information please contact:

Wildlife watching in Warrington

Thanks to everyone who joined in with the summer visit to Houghton Green pool. This SINC site was re-surveyed to provide more up to date habitat and species information. The pool is going to be one to watch over the coming year as United Utilities begin water extraction in the area again.

Wildlife sightings

In order for us to be able to protect Warrington’s wildlife we need to know what’s there! By recording what you see (common or rare) you can help to give us a better understanding of our wildlife whether it’s a bird, bat or beetle- we need to know. You can enter your data online at rECOrd’s web site (http://www.record-lrc.co.uk/) or complete this form:Wildlife sightings form
