2 1/4 Mile Circular Walk

Trans Pennine Trail Ranger Centre 

(Trans Pennine Trail, Bridgewater Canal, Lymm Village Centre, Sow Brook)

From the Ranger Centre, head west along the Trans Pennine Trail. (You will be heading west if you keep the Ranger Centre on your right).

Go over the next road crossing (Star Lane) and continue along the Trans Pennine Trail until you reach a footbridge over the Trail. Pass under the bridge and you will see some steps leading up to it on your right.

Climb the steps, cross the bridge then follow the path along and round to the right in front of the cottages then up to the Bridgewater Canal.

Turn left onto the Bridgewater Canal towpath and walk into the village centre. Leave the towpath at the bridge by the Golden Fleece (this will be the second overbridge you come to). If you would like to spend some time in the village centre, cross the bridge or to continue with the walk, head down the unsurfaced Danebank Road.

Continue over the crossroads at the bottom and walk along Lymmhay Lane. Cross the Trans Pennine Trail and continue to the bridge over Sow Brook. Cross the bridge and walk until you meet the drive to Lymm Golf Club. Turn left up the drive to meet Whitbarrow Road to the Trans Pennine Trail Crossing and turn  right back to the cabin.
