Hedgerow Ramble - 5 miles

From the car park by the Ranger Cabin (1) follow the steps up the right hand side of Wigshaw Lane bridge and onto Wigshaw Lane. Cross the road and follow the pavement turning left on to Glaziers Lane. Walk past the farm (2) on the left and take the first right gate after the barn/garage. Follow the track by the hedge and over a style. Continue to follow the field boundary and ditch until a finger post (3) marking a right turn is reached, walk straight across the field heading for a metal post (4). Follow the field edge West towards the farm buildings and eventually Lady Lane. Cross the road and turn left after 50m. Turn right following the footpath arrows across the field and to the left of the willow trees (5). Aim for a metal gate, over a style and along Old Green Lane to some new homes. At the road turn right to the main road, Lord Street. Cross the road and turn right past the General Elliot pub (6). Turning left down Heath Lane and left again after the pub car park down Wildings Old Lane. At Mount Pleasant Farm (7) continue along the path heading for a lone oak tree at the field corner (8) and ‘T’ junction, turn right and after 20m turn left by a green footpath sign (9) and follow the footpath round the field edge and eventually past the pumping station (10) at Kenyon Lane. Turn right and after 15m cross the road and follow the path by the ditch and hedge. Follow the footpath signs across the field and continue along a track past a section of tall hedge (11) to a track and path crossroads - carry straight on by the left of the trees and ditch eventually to the park (12). Turn right to return to the Ranger Cabin and car park.
