With your back to the Ranger Cabin turn left, follow the path under Wigshaw Lane bridge until you can turn right up some steps (approx 500m). (1) Follow the path across the field through a large gap in the hedge heading for a large white square sign, passing a ditch and ponds on the right. At Warrington Road (2) turn right following the pavement until opposite the Taylor Business Park entrance. Cross Warrington Road and follow the footway into the Business Park passing through the red security barrier (3). Follow the footpath sign to the right of the green fence and after a short way over a stile. At the end of the Business Park fence follow the path to the right of a barn to a track (4) Turn left following the track, at the corner of a grey barn the track forks. Take the right hand fork through the field after 300m the track/path turns sharp right. Follow the path between two fields until the start of a ditch is reached (5). Follow the path on the left of the ditch until a 10m section of pipe is reached (6). There is a footpath sign hidden in a tree, turn left following the right side of the stream to another sign on a bridge. Cross the bridge following the footpath arrows to the side of the field and under the old railway bridge. Once under the bridge turn right following the arrows over another bridge then by the right of the stream and through a hedge gap (7). Follow the tarmac track straight on with the pond on your right. Straight over the cross roads following the obvious main track to Holcroft Lane (8). Turn left then after 100m left again at a footpath sign. Follow the path straight across the fields directly over a track, across two more fields to another track, carry straight on then to the left of a hedge by the farm (9). Follow the footpath arrows to the farm track, turn left following the track then left again at New Hall Lane and straight on following a farm track over the old railway bridge (10). At the top of the bridge turn right down the concrete steps to the old railway line. Follow the line straight on to the park and Ranger Cabin.
