Junior novice anglers - time is running out to sign up for the fishing competition of the year.
Safer Warrington Partnership is hosting a junior novice angling tournament at Sankey Valley Park. It is open to 10 – 17 year olds, 10s and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
There will be three heats in the competition; the first one is on 28 July, the second is on 1 August with the final taking place on 8 August.
Participants need to bring their confirmation letter along to the heat that they are fishing in. Arrival for entrants is 9.00am with the competition taking place from 10.00am-3.00pm, the weigh in will start at 3.00pm.
Entry forms need to be completed and returned by 21 July.
Important information:
If you have your own fishing tackle please bring it with you. Only barbless hooks must be used.
Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. 60 places are available at each heat with the winners going through to the final. Please bring your confirmation letter on the day.
Parents are welcome to attend. Those aged 10 and under must be accompanied at all times.
Please dress for the weather conditions of the day and bring sun screen.
Please bring your own refreshments.
