Summer fun is here!

What will your children talk about when they go back to school in September?

They’ll have lots to talk about thanks to the council’s summer fun activities programme!  Following on from the success of last year’s programme of holiday events, this year’s guide is even bigger and better!

A huge range of activities are on offer this year. There is something for all ages 0 – 20 and tastes, with outdoor activities, arts and crafts, sports and lots of fun workshops to keep everyone occupied.

Some of the highlights for your child this summer season include:

  • Try your hand at creating your very own dinosaur or maybe some Egyptian jewellery, sign up for the tennis camp or break into street dance.
  • Try trampolining or canoeing, go for gold and take part in the Olympic Sports festival at the Peace Centre.

Why not encourage your child to take up a challenge and try something they have never done before to make this summer holiday one to remember? And don’t forget to book early so you don’t miss out!

All the courses are run by qualified staff and Select Leisure’s play schemes are Ofsted registered. That means you can relax, knowing that your child is taking part in safe, fun activities.

Get your life saving guide to this summer from your child’s school or your local library, leisure centre or GP surgery.
