Nominations for elections now available

The nominations are now in for this year's elections on Thursday 1 May and are available  from the elections  section of the council website.

If your name is not on the register of electors you will not be able to vote in any elections held in 2008.

You can register to vote at this year’s elections up to 16 April 2008.

All information and registration forms can be obtained from the elections team or can be downloaded from the above section.

Voting is easy:

There are a number of ways to vote:

• YOU can attend at the polling station on election day where you will be given a ballot paper to mark
• YOU can apply to vote by post
• YOU can even nominate someone to vote for you

Your vote – your voice. If you opt to vote by post or to nominate someone, you will need to complete an application form.  All applications to vote by post must be returned by 5 pm on Wednesday 16 April 2008.

The council has an elections enquiry line to deal with any questions or queries you may have and you can visit them at the Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington or call them on 443322.

You can also email any questions to elections@warrington.gov.uk
