Wheels to fitness

GET on your bike and take part in free cycling sessions with Select Leisure.

The councils leisure services and Cycling Projects are working together to provide a series of sessions to encourage people to cycle.

Cycling Projects run two types of sessions, Wheels for All and Health on Wheels. Wheels for All is aimed at elderly, disability, mental health and behavioural needs.  There are many different cycles for use depending upon the individual’s requirements.

Health on Wheels emphasises health and wellbeing through cycling, this is aimed at sedentary, obesity, cardiac rehab, exercise referral, and mental health needs.

Cycling Projects is currently setting up a base at Victoria Park Arena here in Warrington and will be offering tuition for anybody wanting to learn to ride. There will also be group led rides at lunchtimes on selected days.

This is the ideal opportunity to come along for a free session and find out more information about what Cycling Projects can offer you. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t cycled for some time, come along and join in with the fun!

The free sessions will run in all five Select leisure centres.
