Election results
Warrington Borough Council remains in No Overall Control following elections on 1 May 2008. The results for the borough elections are as follows:
The Conservatives gained two seats (Hatton, Stretton and Walton and Penketh and Cuerdley) and now have a total of seven seats on the council.
The Labour Party lost three seats and gained one seat, so now have 22.
The Liberal Democrats gained two seats (Bewsey and Whitecross and Whittle Hall) and lost one (Hatton, Stretton and Walton) and now have a total of 28 seats.
