Shining stars of good practice
HIGH standards were on the menu at the latest Warrington Food Awards.
And a further 12 local businesses were added to the council’s food safety team’s roll of honour, bringing the total number awarded with this distinction to more than 100.
The awards seek to raise standards of operation in food establishments across the borough recognise excellent health and safety policies, high standards of customer service and use of Fairtrade foods.
The winners were:
Dallam Day Centre, Fir Grove Hotel, Hollies Farm Shop, James Phoenix House, Hilden Road, Kids Unlimited, Bella Roma on Padgate Lane, Park Royal Hotel, Priestley College, St Mary’s Hospital, Spire Hospital, Sycamore Lane Pre-school and Westy Sure Start Centre.
Cllr Roy Smith, Executive Board Member for community services commented: “I’d like to offer my congratulations to all of the establishments that have been successful in the Warrington Food Awards.
“The awards are a great way of rewarding businesses and organisations that work tirelessly to provide a top service to residents and also enable customers to identify food premises operating to a high standard."
