Walking Day traffic arrangements

Don't forget - Walking Day is taking place today, and vehicle access to Warrington town centre will be severely restricted. The inner town centre will effectively be closed to all traffic from 8.30am until approximately 1pm.

However, an inner ring road will be maintained for the majority of the time for through traffic – Priestley Street, Froghall Lane, Midland Way, Brick Street, Fennel Street, Mersey Street, Bridge Foot, Wilson Patten Street, Parker Street, Liverpool Road.

Delays are expected.

The procession through the town centre will leave the Town Hall lawn at 10.30am and follow Sankey Street, Arpley Street, Museum Street, St Austin’s Lane, Friars Gate, where it will then turn right into Bridge Street to U-turn near Bridge Foot. Returning up Bridge Street to Market Gate and Horsemarket Street.
