CENTRAL GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE NOTES & PUBLICATIONS

Central government periodically issues updated guidance on particular planning topics in the form of Planning Policy Guidance Notes (PPG’s) and following new legislation Planning Policy Statements (PPS’s). The policy guidance contained in these documents is a ‘material’ consideration in the determination of planning applications. This should, however, only be a significant issue in the case of ore major or complex planning applications.
