Looking for somewhere to park in Warrington? The Council provides several types of car parking provision in the town centre:-
- Pay-and-Display car parks
- Pay on foot car parking at the Market multi storey car park
- Contract car parking in the town centre at discounted rates
- Limited parking on street
Each car park is governed by a Traffic Regulation Order; the main restrictions being that motor vehicles (Motor cars, motorcycles and invalid carriages) as defined in section 136 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act are permitted entry but with a height limit of 1.905m (6’3’’) (in respect of the multi-storey car parks) and a weight limit of 1525kg.
Those disabled persons displaying an official disabled person’s badge will be exempt from the time limits contained in the proposed order except where otherwise stated or at Time Square.

A selection of privately owned car parks can be found in the Town Centre. These private car parks operate their own terms and conditions. Some sites are pay and display but others only permit parking when purchases are made at the particular store. The new Golden Square multi-storey car parks have 1700 spaces and are accessible from Midland Way and Legh Street.

Tariffs are reviewed on 1 April each year and all prices include VAT at 17.5%

To apply for a car parking pass please download and complete this application form for return.
Once we have received your signed form and the correct payment, the Council will process your application and post your car park pass to you, subject to availability.
