Delivery Report
In 2000 Warrington developed the first Local Transport Plan in accordance with Government legislation, to run from 2001 to 2006. Each year during the process Warrington has provided an Annual Progress Report (APR). As the final progress report relates to the whole period of LTP1 has required local authorities to produce a Delivery Report covering all 5 years.
The first LTP was produced through widespread public and stakeholder consultation and the development of the Warrington Integrated Transport Study of 1999/2000. The LTP process has also led to a dramatic up-turn in the financial resources available to the Council for transport.
The Delivery report outlines the major improvements which have arisen in the years of LTP1 and the benefits from these improvements. It includes details of public transport, cycling and walking, and road safety improvements, alongside the Urban Traffic Management and Control system.
