- Vehicles used for car sharing must be fully insured, taxed and hold a current MOT if required.
- Participants are responsible for informing their insurance company of their intention to car share if necessary.
- The Car Share Co-ordinator at Warrington Borough Council should be notified of any change of address, both home and work.
- If you are unable to keep an arrangement made you should make every effort to contact and inform the other party.
- The driver is under no obligation to wait if the passenger is late.
- WBC can accept no responsibility for disputes between participants, physical injury, emotional distress, or economic loss resulting from car sharing.
- Personal security is the responsibility of each individual participant. You are under no obligation to get into the car with, or offer a lift to any other person. You do so entirely at your own risk.
- WBC does not check the details provided by participants nor their character, and does not check whether participants have a criminal record.
- You must notify WBC of any unfavourable incident experienced with other participants.
- You have no obligation to share, and can terminate your participation at any time.
- We reserve the right to remove from the database the name of any participant who we feel has mis-used the service in any way or is an inappropriate participant.
