Information about transferring your child from primary to secondary school in September 2014
The online facility to apply for a Year 7 place at secondary school for September 2014 is now closed.
If you wish to make a late application for a secondary school place for September 2014 you can download the secondary school application form [pdf] and return it to: School Admissions, Families and Wellbeing Directorate, New Town House, Buttermarket Street, Warrington WA1 2NH.
Alternatively you can contact the admissions team on 01925 442951 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request an application form.
Information about first admission to reception class in September 2014
Children due to start reception class in September 2014 (born between 1 September 2009 and 31 August 2010) may currently:
- Attend a maintained nursery
- Attend a voluntary or private sector provider
- Not attend any nursery setting
If your child currently attends a maintained nursery by mid September 2013 you should have received a letter and leaflet about applying for a reception place for September 2014.
You may find it useful to have this letter and leaflet to hand before starting your online form. The online form is available from 12 September 2013 until midnight on 15 January 2014:
If your child currently attends a voluntary or private sector provider you should receive a letter and the how to apply online for primary school admissions leaflet [pdf] by mid October 2013.
If your child does not attend a nursery setting we are unable to send any correspondence to you therefore we strongly advise you to read the leaflet before applying.
All applicants should read the primary admissions information booklet [pdf] before completing the online form.
Please remember if you are applying for a faith school you are advised to contact the school directly to find out if you are required to complete a supplementary form in addition to the online form.
You will find out which primary/infant school has been offered to your child on 16 April 2014.
If you expressed a preference to receive your offer of a school place via email, the offer information will be sent on 16 April 2014 to the email address* which you provided on your online application form.
*Please note your email address cannot be changed after the closing date. You will need to contact us if you do change your email address so that we can send a letter out to you instead.
