The Respite Centre
The Respite Centre in Warrington is called Ross Close. It provides warm, helpful and friendly residential care for children and young people aged eight to 18 who have disabilities.
The centre is a double bungalow on a residential estate which offers day-care, outreach and short break care to support children and their families who have been identified as needing respite.
Ross Close is an essential resource to support children and their families…
Many of the children we care for have brothers and sisters who do not have a disability. It is common for parents to allow their disabled child to stay at Ross Close so that they can concentrate on their other children for a while. This could be taking them on a short holiday, or simply having a spare night once a month to go for a meal or take them to the cinema. Some parents just need occasional overnight care for their disabled child so they can have a restful night’s sleep.
Quality Care
Ross Close is registered with the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) who regularly inspect the centre and the services we provide to make sure it is complying with regulations and is meeting the National Minimum Standards.
