Working in childcare

Details of job vacancies at childcare settings in Warrington are advertised on childcarelink, JobCentre Plus, and in local press. Vacancies in schools are advertised on the Warrington Borough Council job vacancy pages.

Developmental training courses
A professional development programme  for people working in childcare is available from the Childcare Team training officer on 01925 443138. The booklet is produced three times per year, and includes short courses for childcare professionals such as Paediatric First Aid, First Aid at Work and Food Safety.

Becoming a registered childminder
If you are interested in becoming a registered childminder, Warrington Borough Council Childcare Team holds regular childminder registration briefing sessions. At these sessions you will be able to find out general information on the application process, the childminder start up grant and the training courses available.
