The Children and Young People's Plan was published in May 2006.  It is a strategic document which sets out the vision for improving services for children and young people across Warrington.

The plan covers a three-year period, 2006 to 2009, and contains objectives for improving outcomes for children and young people under each of the Every Child Matters areas:

  • Be healthy
  • Stay safe
  • Enjoy and achieve
  • Make a positive contribution
  • Achieve economic well-being

It also contains important objectives for looked after children and disabled children.

Annual review
Each year an annual review is undertaken.  This identifies the progress made in delivering the Children and Young People's Plan and the impact that these improvements are having on the lives of children, young people and their families.  The review also identifies areas where further improvements need to be made.
