Children & Young People's Trust - terms of reference

The Children and Young People’s Trust will:

a) Oversee the preparation, agreement, monitoring and review of the Children & Young People's Plan  to meet both statutory requirements and reflect local need.

b) Ensure that children, young people and families are able to contribute effectively to the design and delivery of services for planned for them.

c) Maintain a strategic link to the Warrington Safeguarding Children Board.

d) Develop integrated strategies ensuring joint needs analysis, planning and commissioning of services and monitoring performance with regard to outcomes.

e) Allocate available resources to agreed priorities, including developing pooled budget mechanisms where appropriate. 

f) Support and facilitate the engagement of the voluntary sector in the planning of services for children and young people.

g) Provide the forum for discussion and debates between all the agencies involved and identify priorities.

h) Support agencies, individually and collectively, to prepare for inspection.

i) Be a thematic group of the Local Strategic Partnership (see Appendix 1 – LSP structure diagram)
