What if we are still having fertility treatment?
If you are considering adoption as a result of infertility, before you apply it is important to have completed any investigations or treatment, such as IVF. If your treatment is unsuccessful, or you choose not to continue you will need time to come to terms with your situation and will need to carefully consider why adoption is the route you wish to follow. Because this is a life changing decision we would ask you to wait for at least twelve months before you begin the journey to adoption. It is very important that children placed for adoption are able to settle into a family where there are no emotional problems or unresolved issues.
Please note that Warrington is not a tracing agency.
