Fluid Group

Freedom to Love Ur Identity (FLUID) is an independent voluntary group run by and for young lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) people aged 17 to 26.  The group is supported by the Warrington Youth Service.

FLUID is an action group which campaigns for awareness of LGBT issues and rights.  They aim to increase young people’s confidence and self-esteem, reduce isolation and encourage LGBT participation, equality and diversity in the local and wider community.

Meetings
FLUID meetings are held in Warrington Town Centre at a discreet location so that young people can attend anonymously.  Many young people are referred to FLUID through the Gay and Lesbian Youth Support Service (GLYSS) group.

Activities and events
FLUID members take part in activities including Manchester Pride, World Aids Day and the Big Gay Read and actively represent young people’s views in the Warrington LGBT Forum.

More information
Members of the FLUID group have a website which they design and update themselves.  Young people can also contact Jane on the GLYSS mobile: 07747 473 829 or can email us at glyss@hotmail.co.uk.
