The Beaches Surfers Club
The Beaches Surfers Club is a project group which has evolved over the last three years from an original project run in partnership with the local library service.
Who the group is for
The group is aimed at young people who are ‘vulnerable’ in some way. For example:
Young people are often referred to the group through CAF.
What the group does
The group works with issues around self-esteem and confidence, enabling social interaction with peers in a safe environment. It explores issues and difficulties through group work.
One to one support is also available within the group after the recent introduction of Personal Development Portfolios and individual target setting.
