Business engagement and inward investment

Warrington Borough Council’s Business Engagement Team aims to improve the interaction and communication between the private and public sectors, working with business support agencies to offer a tailored package of information, advice and support to local businesses.  In collaboration with partnership organisations, activities include providing an online business location service, producing the quarterly Business in Warrington e-magazine, production of the Annual Property Review and co-ordination of events such as the Warrington Business Conference.

Business Warrington e-magazine
The e-magazine was created as a response to the request for greater communication between Warrington Borough Council and local business at the first Business Conference in 2009.  The aim is to provide information and updates on development schemes, transport and other council projects, along with business support, property news and events which will be of interest to local business in all sectors.

You can view a copy of the latest e-magazine here, or to add your details to the circulation list by calling 01925 442371 or emailing inwardinvestment@warrington.gov.uk.

Regeneration Framework

Warrington has experienced significant growth and change over the past 30 years, transforming the borough into a modern forward-looking place. Despite our overall success and relative prosperity, a growing gap has emerged between those who have benefited and those communities who have not and now find themselves in significant disadvantage.

The regeneration framework outlines the many opportunities to be seized to enable Warrington to sustain this growth in the longer term. It places a strong focus on closing the gaps between those communities that have benefited and those that find themselves in significant disadvantage to ensure all residents can benefit from Warrington's success.

Regeneration Framework

Warrington & Co

Warrington & Co brings together the private and public sector to promote economic development and physical regeneration in Warrington, under the guidance of a private sector-led board.

Warrington & Co is Warrington’s urban regeneration partnership. Its main function is to steer and monitor the implementation of the regeneration framework, as well as providing a forum for all the key agencies involved in regeneration in the town, both public and private sector, to co-ordinate their activities. A Warrington & Co brand has been developed, which will be used for the marketing and communication activities of the company, the regeneration framework and the wider destination marketing of Warrington.

The creation of more business districts, sustainable neighbourhoods, better transport and IT connectivity and a shift to place rather than product marketing, form an ambitious economic and social development programme for Warrington that will ensure the town builds on it successes and continues to enhance its regional role.
