Children and Young People's Services
The Executive Director for Children and Young People's Services in Warrington is Kath O'Dwyer.
The Director is professionally accountable for the delivery of Warrington's education and social services functions for children in the borough. Kath provides leadership of the Children and Young People's Services and focuses on the strategic planning of the council’s overall service development. She also builds corporate and external partnerships as well as co-ordinating all service activities.
The structure of the Children and Young People's Services
The Children and and Young People's Services Directorate is organised into three areas:
- Targeted Services (previously children's social care)
- Universal Services
- Partnerships and Performance
Each of the teams working in these areas has close links with colleagues in other teams. Each area is led by an assistant director who designs a plan of services, which is refreshed on an annual basis. The plans describe the priorities for the year and how these will be achieved.
