This equality and diversity working group focuses on ensuring equal opportunities for children, young people and the children's workforce in Warrington.
The aim of the group is to ensure that existing activities relating to equality and diversity are well co-ordinated and that the directorate complies with the law.
The group maintains the children and young people's services equality and diversity strategy and action plan. It also oversees the implementation of the equality impact assessment programme. The group ultimately feeds into the corporate equality and diversity steering group via the chair, Pinaki Ghoshal.
The membership of the group consists of representation from across all children and young people's services as follows:

- Louise Brown - Assistant Head of Children's Advisory Service, People and Organisational Improvement
- Fiona Waddington - Assistant Director, Targeted Services
- Janna Welsby - Inclusion Consultant, Universal Services
- Hilary Smith - Strategy Manager, Partnerships and Resources
- Sue Breslin - Development Manager, Youth Support Service
- Simon Oliver - Policy and Performance Officer, Performance and Business Unit.
