It is very important that we can show local people that our work is effective and that our services continue to be safe, supportive and provide value for money. The Local Account is a new way for councils to communicate with local people about progress made during the past year on achieving priorities and about the quality of their services.

This first Local Account provides some examples of how we have developed services during the last year in partnership with local residents including people who use our services and their carers. It explains how adult social care is changing in Warrington. We are working together with local people to personalise care and support services, helping people to stay independent for longer and giving them more choice and control over the services that they use.
Next year we would like to produce the account with local residents to ensure it provides the information and issues about the council’s priorities and performance that the public want to know about in the format they find most useful.
Warrington Healthwatch/ Local involvement Network (LINk) will be working with local people to help us produce the Local Account for 2011-12.
If you would like to get involved and work with Warrington Healthwatch/ LINk to do this please complete the questionnaire within the Local Account or contact them direct by email: warringtonlink@theBHA.org.uk or telephone: 01925 246892.
