Our mission is to 'develop our community through learning'. Providing quality adult learning opportunities to close the gap between the advantaged and the disadvantaged in our community.
The service aims to be an accessible service that leads on the provision of high quality adult learning opportunities that positively impact, directly and indirectly, on the residents of our community. Adult & Community Learning (ACL) funding streams aims to widen participation, promote progression pathways, develop skills for jobs, including Skills for Life opportunities, and build capacity in the third sector.

Family Learning (FL) funding is provision specifically designed to enable adults and children to learn together. Family learning funding also aims to improve the literacy, language and numeracy skills of parents to enable them to help their children and assist in their child's aquisition of literacy, language and numeracy skills.
