On in Warrington logoMore than 100 organisations attended a business breakfast last year to see the launch of the It’s all going on in Warrington campaign.  This campaign will promote the rich cultural activities the town centre has to offer during Christmas 2011 and throughout 2012.

It’s All Going in Warrington… in 2012!

We’ve ushered in a brand new year and are now ready to move forward for a spectacular new programme of events and activities happening under the It’s All Going In Warrington umbrella.

Right now, it’s panto season and we’re in the thick of the wonderful family classic tale Aladdin, which is running at Parr Hall until Sunday 15 January (so there’s still time to book on 01925 442345).

Warrington Museum and Art Gallery is hosting the Daryl Hobson exhibition until 13 January – make sure you pop into see Daryl’s work, which explores his own experiences and interpretations of the town and its historical working class heritage.

Comedy Store

Sell-out comedy is back at Pyramid on the first Friday of every month, with the best in live stand-up from our friends at The Comedy Store. But hurry – tickets go fast.

Northern Soul Night

Northern Soul returns to celebrate its 1st  anniversary, with a great mix of oldies, rare and not-so-rare Northern Soul and an outstanding DJ line up. This will be a night to remember for all soul lovers!

The Johnny Cash Story

Parr Hall Fri 10 Feb  7.30pm, £16/£14

Roger Dean perfectly captures the spirit of Johnny Cash. Between classic numbers such as Ring of Fire, I Walk the Line, and Hurt, Dean describes Johnny’s rise from poverty stricken beginnings in rural Arkansas to world stardom. 

That’ll Be the Day

Parr Hall Fri 17 Feb  7.30pm, £19.50, £18

This hugely entertaining rock ‘n’ roll spectacular features a line up of knock-out hits from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, mixed with new, zany comedy routines to produce a show with a real, feel good party atmosphere. Please note this is not a Pyramid & Parr Hall production.

Olympic Posters Exhibition

Pyramid Thu 1 Mar - Sun 1 Apr, FREE This collaborative exhibition between The Gallery at Bank Quay House and Pyramid showcases artwork spanning the complete history of the summer and winter Olympic Games. Obtained from the Olympic Foundation in Lausanne, the exhibition features changing graphic styles and social context of different host cities and the cultures they represent.

Carnival du Vampires Rock

Parr Hall Sat 10 Mar  7.30pm, £22/£20

This classic rock spectacular returns to blast its way through some of the greatest ever rock anthems including; We Will Rock You, Bat Out of Hell and Sweet Child O’ Mine. With an amazing stage set and pyrotechnics to blow your mind!

All types of classic vehicles from years gone by take over the streets of the town centre in this ever popular show.

Wed 1 August - National Playday

Lots of activities for all the Children throughout the town centre including puppet shows, circus skills workshops, face painting, badge making, entertainers and lots more!

1 Sept - Annual Farmers Market

Warrington market hosts the very popular farmers market.  All produce on sale will be grown, reared, caught, brewed, baked, smoked or processed by the stall holder and there will be lots of family fun and entertainment.
