Other grants

Club, coach and volunteer funding

SET has been successful in gaining a Sport England post and bursary funding for sports clubs, coaches and volunteers within Warrington.

Below are the guidelines on the funding:

Clubs

Only clubs who are members of their local mini-forum can apply for this funding.  Clubs can not apply for funding on their own, this is to encourage clubs to work together and provide a joint bid.  Support to clubs will be given on a pound for pound match basis. So if a group of clubs wanted £1000 the clubs would need to raise £500 and the CCV budget would match this amount to equal £1000.

Funding can be used for: facility hire for events beyond core costs, equipment and equipment hire reduce membership costs, training courses and events.

Funding can not be used for: facility improvement, staff costs/coach hire, core costs or member expenses.

Coaches and volunteers

Coaches and Volunteers can only receive 50% support towards course and training costs to a maximum of £100.  Support would be given to individuals in the following manner; 25% of the cost would be given up front to the coach (to secure place on course). The second 25% would be given to the coach on completion of the course evidenced with course certificate and coaching delivery at their club as set out in coach/ volunteer agreement.

Priority will be given to coaches seeking level 1 or entry level coaching qualifications in priority sports that have identified by CWSP, WASSP & SET.

Financial support for coaches and volunteers can only be used to support training and coach education.

Funding for coaches and volunteers can not be used to cover expense incurred when attending courses.
